Marketing checklist

Prepare player marketing agreements

Before a campaign, sponsorship or media production, organise the key rights, duties and documents.

Checklist for image rights, sponsorship, media use, remuneration and approvals in player marketing.

This checklist helps you describe a player’s marketing services in concrete terms. Record who may use which material, on which channels, in which territory and for how long. This makes open points easier to resolve before signing.

Your ticks are stored only in this browser. No checklist data is sent to the firm.

Legal framework

A marketing agreement should describe image, name, voice and other personal services precisely enough to make the scope and limits of use clear. Section 78 of the Austrian Copyright Act may be relevant to the publication of a person’s image. The GDPR also matters for personal recordings, contact details and usage profiles. Advertising claims and sponsor presentations must also fit unfair-competition law and the rules of the club or federation.

This checklist provides general orientation. It is not a guarantee of rights or validity and does not replace a review of the specific agreement, campaign or applicable federation rules.
